a letter puzzle
SHIFT is a single-player letter puzzle game. It does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, location, or any personally identifying information, and does not share your gameplay data with any third party — with the sole exception of the Google AdMob advertising SDK, described below.
This policy explains exactly what data is collected, by whom, and why.
SHIFT saves your puzzle progress — levels completed, stars earned, and your current level — on-device using Android's DataStore Preferences. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
SHIFT displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use certain data from your device in order to serve personalised or contextual ads, including:
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. We do not receive or store this data ourselves.
SHIFT requests only one device permission:
Required solely to load and display advertisements via Google AdMob. The app does not use this permission to transmit your gameplay data or any personal information.
SHIFT uses three ad formats provided by Google AdMob:
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings: Settings › Google › Ads › Opt out of Ads Personalisation. You can also reset your Advertising ID from the same menu.

Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
No other third-party SDKs, analytics services, or crash-reporting tools are integrated in SHIFT.
SHIFT is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Google AdMob is configured for general audiences; if you believe a child under 13 has been exposed to personalised advertising through this app, please contact us at the email below so we can take appropriate action.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with any personal data, please contact us immediately.
The only data stored by the app is your local game progress, which remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear the app's data via Android Settings. We have no access to this data and cannot delete it on your behalf — you can remove it at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling SHIFT.
Depending on your country of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Since we do not collect or store personal data ourselves, most of these rights apply to data held by Google rather than by us.
Because SHIFT stores all data locally and does not transmit personal information to any server, there is no server-side data at risk of breach. Your game progress is protected by your device's standard Android security model.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app or the Play Store listing. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
